I’m on H1B making about 100K in Texas. I don’t own any property and haven’t been itemizing for the past few years – just taking standard deductions. I’ve used Turbo Tax in the past few years.

I want to know if I ought to hire a tax professional to file my taxes or is Turbo tax (or any other tax software) the best route. Is it worth the trouble to hire a tax professional if the filing is really straightforward. I also have some stock investments but besides that I have nothing else.
